More todotada apps for everyone

Developers really need to stop working on standalone ToDo apps. For one, you can add only so many features to it that majority of people really need. Besides that, next to feature-less ToDo apps on personalized home pages delivering 90% of the functionality, I am not sure who is looking to login into a separate site to manage his/her lists. Anyway, the rant is against couple of new apps that I got emailed on - TaskBin, and Yadashare. While both of them have more to offer then simple tasklists, but not everyone is looking for those features.
TaskBin wants to make your todos really accessible all around. You can create one for yourself or do a Group To-do List. Tasks can be shared, can be accessed from mobile, can have multiple time zones, summaries emailed, and accessed via RSS feeds.
As for Yadashare, they claim allow “non developers to build advanced web applications” and give option to “build customized software solutions for a fraction of the cost of pack aged software or custom development products”. While the talk is good on paper, right now you can create either a TodoList or a contact list. I will be waiting for more…

Thanks for visiting our site. Currently we have two template applications and will be adding 10 prebuilt applications in the next few days. We will also be adding the ability to share application templates with other users. You can currently copy and paste data from a spreadsheet to create list or create applications from scratch using our list builder.
The TO-DO template was attended so show our most basic functionality. I%u2019d personally rather use a pen and paper to track TO-Dos. Our service is designed to be used in a collaborative environment where you have multiple users accessing the same data.
I have been in application development for 10 years and have seen the same basic applications being created over and over; common features include web front ends to present data , tracking changes, incorporating business rules, searching, controlling access, generating notifications and collecting data from the public. We give non developers tools to build the same type of applications without coding.
Thanks again for mentioning us. We keep you updated.

Keeping your to-do list online is insanity until you need to share it with other people, at which point keeping it on a piece of paper is insanity.
