Bye bye Microsoft Powerpoint; Hello Preezo!!

By Vivek | August 9th, 2007 at 05:49 am ET

One of the most awaited product launch has finally happened. Preezo went live early morning today. It has been almost 10 months since the Office 2.0 Conference last year that I have been talking and nudging and talking with Preezo founder Jason Roberts to go live. But when you are a combination of hardcore programmer, a perfectionist, and a single-man team, things do take time. Anyway, fast forward all the months of hard work and here we are with Preezo alive and kicking. All in all, with almost 2 years in making and angel round of funding to back it up, Preezo has completed the Office20 suite for me that includes - EditGrid, iNetword, and Coventi.

With the current launch, you can create, save, share presentations online. So no more emailing of those 5 to 10 megabit files half way around the world. Just publish your slideshow and emailing the URL or grab the embed code and make the presentation viewable on your blog or site.

For those mistaking Preezo to be comparable to other lesser presentation mortals, they don’t realize the fact that it has an editor which was built from ground up instead of being another “design” mode hack. Trust me, there is almost no startup or company that has tried doing that, not even much acclaimed Writely. With the kick-ass editor in place, Preezo is all set to deliver real powerful features soon like transformations and animations that will make sure you won’t miss Microsoft Powerpoint at all.
