HeyCosmo - Live conversations via the webcam

By Vivek | June 15th, 2007 at 01:00 am ET

After launching earlier this year and going down under soon after for unknown reasons, HeyCosmo is set to relaunch it’s web-cam based social networking service that would supposedly enable live conversations through video, images, text, audio. They wan to call it - video version of Yahoo Games where avatars get replaced by live video boxes.

According to the startup, users will be enabled to create live and “canned†content channels on just about anything. HeyCosmo’s technology will be supporting up to 10 live web-cam video participants and up to 50 people can listening, watching, and chatting in the same session. I hope they have a real code to backup all the numbers above otherwise it is going to be pretty much a DoA case to start with.

Target users? Gaming, Sharing and Presenting.

Let’s see how that one goes. I have been caught up in too many things on my end so didn’t get a chance to talk with the team. Will try getting some screenshots and stuff.

It’s been a while since Heycosmo launched the poker site. It might be good to look at what they are doing now.

Heycosmo.com has four available free applications that allow you to do all sorts of really interesting things from web to phone.

The applications (two of them) are also available on Facebook and you do not need to download anything to use them.
