Watching a startup trying to create a new market is always fun. New market means new ideas. And we are always in hunt for those. Mountain View, California based startup myDecide’s ”different” idea is to offer a decision making platform. They are banking on the years of experience of their team members in the fields of math, science, and psychology to build a decision making platform that really does what it says.
So the actual game is that you go out at DecisionStreet and start building your decision plan. It can consist of something simple that you want to do or want to accomplish. For each decision, you thinkup keywords that describe this decision, Identify choices you have, and also all decision criteria you can think off. Once you are done with the initial release, DecisionStreet takes this plan and automatically generates a decision plan for you. From there on this will serve as a starting point for all the research, ideas, and comments you would need to get the decision implemented. myDecide would help make the collaboration happen online or you can print it share with your family/friends to get their input. All along myDecide acts as the document store to for your activity.
Possible use cases myDecide team thinks such a platform would come handy in - decisions around health, wealth, housing, driving, sibling involvement in sharing responsibilities, legal, assistance with daily living, funerals, inheritance, doctor choices…. So the bigger picture is - A Todo list to start with that can then be shared with family friends to get recommendations and ideas. Advertising? Can for sure have a play in there. On the whole feels like a smart way to make longer term decisions.
