ThisNext takes venture debt route before Series B

Product discovery and recommendation site ThisNext has reportedly raised a round of venture deb from Western Technology Inc. Obvious push will be towards building the platform and getting done with more partnerships for a higher Series B valuation.
ThisNext had raised $3.5 million from Clearstone in the summer of last year.
ThisNext is not the first one to follow the strategy. InsideView about which I had written earlier this week had followed a similar strategy of raising venture debt before going for the Series A.
