It’s Green Time

Green and CleanTech are the buzzwords these days. So here we are with couple of our recent finds in this space. Last month BlueEgg, a new media company devoted to sustainable living, launched their first major green initiative - Green Building Blocks(GBB).  Since the space is pretty much open to everyone, GBS is also trying to find the right place it would fit in by offering diverse options to the users. The site will function as a resource for building and design professionals committed to sustainable home construction and green remodeling. So while you are out there, you can find green building products and also get connected with green pros listed in the GBS directory. They even have a calendar for the green industry events, but without any option to pull in the data into my Zimbra calendar(yes I am quitting Google Apps slowly). I think they need some web20 serving for that. Still a great effort in aggregating all the content. Keeping it fresh would still matter in the longer run.

While we are at discussing Green, Pricegrabber has launched SHOPGreen section for it’s site. Pricegrabber’s understanding of Green is to offer listings of Energy Star products. Well, that’s a good start
