Standout confirms funding

Standout Jobs, the Montreal, Quebec, Canada based startup that I had written about last week, has confirmed it’s angel funding round. Standout has raised CDN$1.5-million in seed and angel financing from Garage Technology Ventures Canada and Brudder Ventures, the angel investment firm of Canadian entrepreneur Austin Hill. As an extension to what I had written before, Standout will be mixing social media tools, including video, social networking, blogging and widgets to aid companies in their recruiting processes. The startup is co-founded by Austin Hill,  Ben Yoskovitz and Fred Ngo.
