BungeeLabs goes Beta
By Vivek | June 4th, 2007 at 01:38 am ET
After long years of development period, BungeeLabs is finally going live albeit slowly. Over the past weekend BungeeLabs sent out the first set of invites to public beta testers for Bungee Connect. And to demonstrate the capabilities of the web-based IDE, Bungee Team has built Bungee Labs website using Bungee.
Let’s have a quick look at BungeeLabs feature set -
- 100% on-demand application development environment enabling developers to efficiently create and instantly deliver rich web applications
- Broad web service access via SOAP & REST
- Rich plug-n-play AJAX controls
- Live development & collaboration
- Expansive declarative programming language
- Immediate cross-browser support
- Real-time test and deployment
- No Fee for development and test deployment
- Commercial deployment for fees based on actual application use that would cost $1/computer-network-interaction hour. This is seriously going to undercut Salesforce and Coghead pricing.
Advantages of building your next-gen app on BungeeLabs very solid since it will simplify your deployment and delivery requirements while reducing investment on hardware/software/support teams..And this is just the starting point for the new class of web apps that are set to emerge from the On-Demand platform.
