Google Calendar goes mobile

By Vivek | May 24th, 2007 at 02:18 pm ET

Nothing unexpected but a feature that lot of Google users have been asking for is live - Google Calendar on mobile phones. The WAP based service is available at calendar.google.com and brings up your “events, complete with details like date, time, location, description, and guest list.”

A quick check of the service gives a familiar story. All my events associated with my regular Google account show up, but for my Google Apps Calendar account, just a blank screen. This situation is pretty familiar with Google Apps and is something I have written about before. In this case it might require a different URL though that can be something like Still we have workaround out here as you can share your GA Calendar with your Gmail account and view all the events. Some digging around and guess work reveals that Google Apps Calendars are available at http://calendar.google.com/a/[domain_name]. Event information is showing up in the right format. Only issue is the login screen that displays the regular  web fonts and formatting.
