OnTour’s parent company gets $10 million

PassAlong Networks, the parent company of OnTour.net about which I had written last year has raised another $10 million in funding. Nothing specific has been disclosed about the investors except for the keywords “private and strategic investors”. With this round of funding, PassAlong has raised total of $35 million. I would say that is a big number of a suite of products that have yet to catch on with the mass market. One of the core products at PassAlong is OnTour that automatically comes up with your favorite artist list based on your music selection in iTunes, and than searches for concert date for your favorite artist near you location. Besides this, PassAlong has host of other product including StoreBlocks, freedomMP3, Skylocker, Speakerheart, and Connected Consumer. PassAlong supposedly has partnerships with Microsoft, Zoran, Gracenote, and f.y.e.
