Brightcove to track viral-video spread with Visible Measures

Brightcove is working with video analytics startup Visible Measures to enable its content publishers track spread of videos all over the web. Visible Measures analytics platform tacks and analyzes audience engagement with videos to determine the advertising sweet spots and experience customization. As part of the partnership, Visible Measures will be working with number of Brightcove’s clients to test its analytics package.

Earlier in the month Visible Measures had announced that it has raised $5 million in  Series A round of funding from General Catalyst Partners.

Clearspring has also been working on tracking viral spread of widgets over the web that also includes video widgets. Although they haven’t yet started cutting deals with video sharing sites, I expect that to happen sooner or later since they have a solid analytics engine to backup their offering.
