MySpace takes on Youtube with Political Channel

With an eye on the upcoming elections MySpace today launched MySpace Impact, a political channel that carries featured videos and more. Impact also features the profile for each of the presidential candidates that links back to the actual profile page. Impact is also displaying news related to each of the presidential candidates that fetches articles mostly from YahooNews, CNN, Fox, and other commercial media sites. Being a social networking platform with blogging support MySpace should included top content from the MySpace users itself or from other major blog networks active on the politics scene. Although a manual task but would be still worth the effort since users anyway get the regular media dose. Youtube had also launched a similar channel - Youchoose.
