RIAA threat to Pandora and likes continues

Last week I had written about “RIAA’s new plan to kill Webcasters“. Pandora which is going to get hit the most by the crappy CARP and RIAA gang seems to be hitting a wall right now. Nevertheless they are preparing for a fight and asking their users to sign petition supported by bunch of webcasters including Radio Paradise, AccuRadio.com, and more.

Yahoo and AOL are strangely quite on this. I think if this insane rate proposal does go into effect AOL and Yahoo don’t have that much to loose even if they bail out. But smaller networks would be shuttered overnight. So much for webcasting.

Pessimism aside, go ahead and sign the Petition to try and give webcasting a second life.
