Youtube-Turkey ban down in just 2 days
By Vivek | March 9th, 2007 at 12:40 pm ET
As expected, the ban on Youtube didn’t stick for long in Turkey. According to news reports, Ahter Kutadgu, head of corporate communications for Turk Telekom, told the Anatolia news agency his company had been notified of a court decision to lift the ban. Not many details are out regarding why the ban was lifted. Will update as more details come in.
What do we learn from this - insulting a country leader can get your site banned for 2 days. Not bad for Youtube since it already has millions of users. But why even bother for 2 days?
