Today is turning out to be one hectic day in Web20 funding reports. According to Globes, Israel based startup Fixya(don’t confuse with video sharing site Flixya) has raised $4 million in funding from Pitango Venture Capital and Mayfield Fund.

Fixya has number of interesting aspects to its gadget problem search and solution platform. Users can search for any issue they are facing with their mobile phone or digital camera or any of the 500,000 consumer products indexed at Fixya, and the site brings up similar issues reported in the past and also any solutions posted by the community members. Even otherwise Fixya is good destination site to know the issues you are going to come across before purchasing a device. Smart move from Fixya is that whenever users search for a product, the results present an option to buy the product through one of Fixya’s partner sites. Affiliate ads from Shopping.com are also right on target in this case(that reminds me of Tumri Cornerstores Ads that have been around for while).

Overall i feel that Fixya along with Retrevo offers a perfect combination to get around your gizmo breakdowns.
