coComment, the startup that lets you track your comments all over the blogosphere, has received $1.5 million funding from Japanese VC company Netage Capital Partners, Inc. coComment, based in Geneva, Switzerland, was funded by Swisscom Innovations and launched earlier this year.
Cocomment, Co.mments, Commentful are the 3 startups providing similar services. Instead of users commenting on blog posts and not being able to check back what went on next, they can easily track their comments using the bookmarklets, plugins, and RSS feeds provided by these services. Most of these services also give the option to display your comments on your blog using a widget.
Personally I have been using Co.mments for the past few months and found the service very effective. It is difficult to tell at this point where these services want to next. More networking and sharing features might see an uptick.
