Clarizen - Enterprise Web20 PM startup gets funded

Clarizen, which is developing on-demand Project Management software targeted at enterprise customers, has received $7 million in Series A round of funding. Benchmark Capital and Carmel Ventures participated in the funding round. Clarizen, co-founded by Avinoam Nowogrodski and Tanya Epstein in 2005 who had previously worked together at SmarTeam.
Clarizen will be looking to offer an Web20′ish solution to enterprise project management without the need for clients to setup a dedicated software and hardware environment. Currently Clarizen is in private beta model and will be launching early next year.
Existing established players in the enterprise PM market include Intuit’s Quickbase and eProject. It will be interesting to see what Clarizen has to offer.
