eyeSpot to launch mobile video sharing soon

After the presentation at DEMOfall by Eyespot I had talked with David Dudas about the future plans for Eyespot. He mentioned that in early November they will be launching a major feature at Eyespot, which is their mobile video sharing application. In all the hectic activity around that time I never got to post about those details, but here I am with the details I can recollect from that conversation.

6-7 months back Eyespot had started developing their mobile video sharing application which they planned would utilize MMS for sending videos. Soon Eyespot team came across issues related to bit rate, and video file size that can be sent through MMS. Eyespot team went ahead and built their own technology which overcomes these issues. Video sharing application developed by Eyespot establishes a data connection similar to client server technology and enables user to send complete video file at once. To send videos from the mobile, users will have to download and install Eyespot mobile application. In just 3 click users can get videos from their mobile onto Eyespot site. Besides this, users can accomplish many other tasks from their mobile including subscribing to RSS feeds of videos, and searching for videos located on Eyespot web site.

Currently Eyespot users can easily edit videos online using drag and drop tools. Users can also add various effects to their videos and share the resulting videos with other users or publish them to their Blogger and Livejournal blogs.
