Google login for Dodgeball

 Users can now login into Dodgeball using their Google ids. Dodgeball is a sms based social networking service that was acquired by Google last year. Using Dodgeball you can set your status and Dodgeball system pings your friends with your whereabouts and informs you about which friends-of-friends are within 10 blocks.

SMS based social networking has yet to catch on in US ’cause of the extra data plans required and lack of message grouping. Twitter has been working on a similar model as Dodgeball. However I like the Joopz model which needs to add a hip factor to get the ball rolling.
